Kunal Joshi
Dr. Kunal Joshi grew up and attended medical school in India before moving to the United States in 2010. He completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Internal Medicine.
While working as an inpatient physician in the tertiary care center in the heart of the opioid epidemic of Southwest Virginia, he experienced first hand the most severe and unfortunate outcomes of addiction. This drove him to start exploring avenues to help the community. He started the medication assistance treatment program in collaboration with Jody as an outpatient based opioid treatment program.
Dr. Joshi’s professional interests involves psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, pharmacotherapy for the behavioral illnesses.
Personally he enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and cinema. He’s a lover of animals, and avid nature conservationist, and delights in knowing and learning new things.
